We’re heading into the final weeks of July and our residents are getting ready to take a trip to Brooklyn, listen about the story of a famous television duo, and show their national pride for the Summer Games.
Wednesday, July 21st
Trip to Coney Island
We’re spending the day walking along Coney Island’s boardwalk, taking in the sweet sound of the waves at the beach, and hitting up the original Nathan’s Famous to grab – what else? – a hot dog! (or perhaps something else on the menu!)
Thursday, July 22nd
Abbott and Costello History Presentation, 2:30 p.m., Multipurpose Room
“Who’s on First?” That famous sketch was performed by the comedic duo of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello. They’re known for so much more, though. Stop by as we listen to a presentation about these classic personalities.
Olympics International Food Celebration, 5 p.m., Dining Room
To celebrate the Summer Olympics, we’re eating and drinking around the world. We’ll be providing a dinner buffet with an eclectic selection of food from various cultures. We encourage everyone to wear their national colors and root on these sensational athletes.
Thursday, July 29th
Willy Wonka Party, 2 p.m., Multipurpose Room
Come with us and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination…of chocolate! Residents who have a sweet tooth should not miss this. We’re breaking out the chocolate fountain for fondue delights, movie theater snacks, and fresh popcorn.
