Rachel Anderson-Capone

Rachel Anderson-Capone

Executive Director

Rachel has a background as a Licensed Master of Social Work. She earned her master’s degree at Stony Brook University after graduating from Hofstra University with her bachelor’s in community health. Rachel lives on Long Island with her husband and two sons.

Nancy Campagna

Director of Community Relations

Nancy has been working in Senior Living for 15 years, with vast experience in Independent Living. In her previous role, she was the Director of Sales and Marketing in which she helped seniors with their transition into a new home and environment. She was the main contact for families who were also adjusting to their loved ones’ new home.

Nancy holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. 

Nancy Waldman

Director of Community Relations

Nancy is a sales veteran having worked in senior living for more than 15 years. Before coming to The Residences at Plainview and Chelsea Senior Living, she used to work for Sunrise Senior Living where she led her community’s sales and marketing initiatives.

Nancy previously was a regional manager for LA Weight Loss.

Her love for helping others is why she’s truly enjoyed working with the senior population.

 

John Jenkins

Food Services Director

John leads the culinary team at The Residences. He has over 40 years of experience in the restaurant and food industry. During his years in the kitchen, he’s had the chance to cook for many celebrities. To learn more about John and his expertise, please visit our Dining page.

Christopher Lewis

Lifestyle Director

Christopher is a certified Recreational Therapist. He graduated St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue with his bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation. Chris has been working in the senior living industry for four years and really enjoys planning events and activities for his residents. When Chris isn’t working, he loves going to Yankee games, working out and going on on the boat.

Michael Roan

Building Services Director

Since joining Chelsea Senior Living as the Building Services Director in November 2016, Michael has proven to be an asset to the management team through diligent monitoring and maintenance of all building repairs and alterations, keeping in mind regulatory guidelines, deadlines and budgetary restrictions along the way. With three decades of professional experience, Michael has gained valuable experience in a variety of industries including construction, roofing, electrical and HVAC.

Carmen Gruenfelder

Business Office Manager

Carmen manages all financial transactions and is responsible for monitoring business performance related to finance. 

Prior to The Residences, she worked at National Grid as a Senior Analyst where she oversaw all processes connected to accounts payable and payroll.

She’s also worked for GE Healthcare as an Administrative Assistant.

Carmen has an MBA from Molloy College.
