Olympics Kick Off Celebration
What better way to kick off the Olympics last week than sample food from around the world? Our residents were presented with a dinner buffet of delicacies from 10 different countries. We also had specialty drinks from five different countries. Whether our residents were rooting for Team USA or another country, they were all united through the power of food!
The Residences and the Chocolate Factory
All it takes is pure imagination…
When you think of a chocolate wonderland, you typically think of the fictitious chocolate factory from the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We brought some of the sweet goodness from that movie to life.
It was a true chocolatier experience. Residents enjoyed the chocolate fondue station that included a bevy of treats for dipping such as marshmallows, graham crackers, apples, bananas, pretzels, pineapple, and cookies.
We also had fresh popcorn and movie theater snacks such as M&M’s, Milk Duds, Whoppers, Good and Plenty, and Hershey bars.
While we were indulging, we sat back, relaxed, and watched the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
